Floyd Griffith, a funder, adviser, and connector for new ventures, partners with founders, executives, and board members of early-stage technology companies. Experienced managing, leading, and growing businesses, Floyd most recently served as the Chief of Staff to the CEO and General Counsel of a group of affiliated companies. He is an erstwhile board member and interim CEO and president of Exobox Technology Corp., a Houston public technology startup; during this provisional appointment, he oversaw the final stages of development of the company’s software, accepting a coveted industry award from Gartner, Inc. Floyd has served as a review committee member for the Texas Emerging Technology Fund in conjunction with the Regional Center of Innovation and Commercialization.
Floyd has worked in diversified roles in finance, namely in securities issuance, regulatory compliance, and investments. His positions and affiliations included as a securities modeling analyst at Freddie Mac, where he modeled / reverse-engineered REMICs / CMOs in tandem with Wall Street investment banking firms; as a fixed-income regulatory analyst with the NASD, now FINRA; and as a former licensed advisor with Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Griffith, a graduate of the Wharton School’s Executive Development Program at the University of Pennsylvania, attained his M.B.A. from The Johns Hopkins University and received a baccalaureate in business administration from Florida A&M University.
